Elounda - Toad Hall
In an outstanding position in-between the Elounda gulf and the steep mountains of Oksa, Toad Hall prevails. In a 5200 sq m inclined plot, the residence with a total area of 225 sq m, is built in three levels and was entirely renovated under the guidance of Gounalakis Giorgos in 2012.
Rejuvenating of an old abandoned building was not an easy task. The mission was to create a modern result, but simultaneously preserving the character of the existing premises. A material palette of stone, concrete, wood and glass adapted perfectly to the wild landscape of Elounda and gave a contemporary feeling to the building.
A great emphasis was given to the surrounding area of the property. The mild climate of Elounda during spring, summer and autumn makes outdoor spaces a significant feature of every property. Covered living areas, BBQ, traditional wood – fired oven, flowery gardens, as well as an infinity pool surround the main building, completing the unique layout of this residence.
Moving on to the interior of the property, simple lines at grey and whitish neutral tones dominate and create a feeling of relaxation, warmth and luxury.
